My normally well adjusted 12 yr old border collie/dalmation mix has been pacing, panting, and restless for the past two days. Stool seem normal, a little gassey though and tummy not bloated. She rests at times for 15-20 mins then repeats the restlessness. When I scratch her ears and throat area, it soothes her somewhat. She acts as if she is itchy but has no fleas. I have given her benedryl which did very little and am now trying GasX/PeptoBismal for possible stomachache. Anyone have any other ideas short of taking her to the vet?
