White eye instead of red eye on pet Dog.

Today I took a photo of my pet German Shepherd (mainly because she is ill and monday she is having an M.R.I scan), and where it should have made her eyes red (like normal red eye), her eyes were white. I wondered if it is the same for dogs as it is for humans that if it is white it means Cancer.
