My 13 year old Akita/Lab is not well. He's not in pain or suffering that I can tell. He has however developed a barrelled belly even though I've cut back some on his feeding. He also drinks water copiously but doesn't have to urinate as often as you'd think. Just in the last few days his back legs have seemed to give out and he was unable to raise up and walk at all. But then in the last 24 hours he's managed fine. I know I need to get him to the vet but I'm not a rich guy. If I'm gonna have to put him down I have to do it in one trip. Thats gonna make alot of you hate me or think I'm cold hearted but thats not the case. I want to do all I can for him, but all I can do is all I can do. Any thoughts ?
